Change in EGNOS Data Message
During the last several months we have received a number of calls from customers stating that they are losing the EGNOS correction signal during the operation of TeeJet products. We have done many hours of investigation and we have determined that the ESSP, the operator of the EGNOS system recently changed one of the EGNOS data messages with the result being that some TeeJet products no longer accept the EGNOS data as being "good" and the receiver then drops back to ClearPath GPS (no EGNOS corrections applied).
The fix for this problem is an update to the firmware in the ClearPath GPS receiver to 010102 (v1.102).
IMPORTANT: This problem is only seen on Matrix Pro units with ClearPath GPS receivers running receiver version 010011 (v1.011) and 010016 (v1.016). The affected units all fall into the serial number range below, and were shipped before approximately May 1st, 2012. Units shipped after approximately May 1st, 2012 will already be running firmware 010102 (v1.102).

Determine If Update Is Needed
The best way to determine if your unit should be updated is to check the "Receiver" number and "Version" as shown. Go to Unit Setup-->GPS-->GPS Status Information and verify the values for "Receiver" and "Version".
This update should only be used when the "Receiver" is 6 or 7 and the Version is reported as 010011 or 010016.
Do not proceed with this update if:
- the "Receiver" is not 6 or 7
- the "Version" is not 010011 or 010016.
